Briarwood supplied over 1,000m2 EUROSIX Meadowscape reinforced fibre cement sheeting in an Anthracite colour, to clad a new 100mtr long livestock building. This multi purpose and very busy Farm is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and situated on a hilltop, with panoramic views over the local countryside with direct views across to Dartmoor. A strict specification for this project was supported by Briarwood Products exceptional range of stock items which includes the EUROSIX Meadowscape fibre cement sheeting along with an Open Ridge detail to support maximum natural ventilation within this large livestock building. All products are stocked by Briarwood Products and were supplied to site on their own transport at nominated slots to allow the project to proceed efficiently and well within the time restraints.
This Devon Farm is run by the 4th generation of the same family and has evolved in a working beef and sheep farm of 120 acres with two big modern barns and several smaller older buildings. Beside the suckler herd which calves in July/August, they buy 7 days old calves from local farms which are reared through to slaughter or sold as store cattle. Part of the land is used to grow in rotation with pasture, a whole crop of peas/clover and barley/grass which is used as a supplement fodder for the animals. All the animals are fed on natural produce, mostly grass with some dry supplement.
