A very picturesque part of Dorset now has a new Eurosix Anthracite fibre cement clad building which was designed and built from the groundworks up by Burt Steel Fabrications Ltd from Sturminster Newton, Dorset.
The requirement on this farm was to extend from a small Grain Store which had been a working building for over 50 years and to include additional general machine storage alongside the Grain Store facility. RIDBA Corporate member, Burt Steel Fabrications’ knowledge and experience of working on many Crown Estates farms was a major benefit to their client on this project.
Planning and building regulations with care and understanding of the local landscape was just part of the brief. Specific design criteria and allowing the original building to still be used during part of the new build construction was also a requirement successfully met by Burt Steel with great approval from their client.
